Asus ROG Phone 6D, ROG Phone 6D Ultimate launched with Dimensity 9000+ chipset

Asus has announced new gaming phones in the ROG series — the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. The new ROG Phone 6D shares a lot of similarities with the ROG Phone 6, which was launched a few months ago. The main difference between the two is that the latter one is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ instead of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

The ROG Phone 6D comes at £799 (around Rs 72,490 ), while the Phone 6D Ultimate costs £1,199 (around Rs 1,08,780) in the UK. The AeroActive Cooler 6 comes bundled with the 6D Ultimate, but you can also purchase it separately for £89 (around Rs 8,076).

The ROG Phone 6D features a 10-bit 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate and support for HDR10+ playback.
Powering the ROG Phone 6D is Mediatek’s top-end processor, the Dimensity 9000+ SoC clocked at 3.2GHz. Under the hood, the chipset comes paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 RAM.
The camera arrangement remains the same as the ROG Phone 6. There is a 50MP 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0µm pixels and an f/1.9 lens taking on the job of the main sensor, a 13 MP f/2.2, ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro shooter. For selfies, there is a 12MP camera on the front.
The ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate are essentially the same phones, with a few differences. The ROG Phone 6D has an RGB light logo, while there is a PMOLED ROG Vision on the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, similar to how it is on ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro.
Meanwhile, the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate also has an AeroActive Portal on the back, which works in tandem with the AeroActive Cooler 6. Lastly, the ROG Phone 6D comes with 256GB of internal storage while the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate has 512GB of internal storage.
