Konami confirms eFootball 2023 release date: All details

There is some good news for all the PES fans. Konami has recently announced the release date of the next edition of its popular title — eFootball 2023 — by posting a tweet from the game’s official Twitter account. The developer has confirmed that gamers will be able to play the latest version of PES on PC, console and mobile soon. The new version of eFootball has gone through multiple changes since it was first launched and the upcoming edition is set to bring in some “big core players to the game,” the Sun reports. Moreover, it is important to note that PES 2022 was the first version of the game that allowed players to sync up with the mobile version.

eFootball 2023: Availability
As per the tweet, the eFootball 2023 update is set to release today (August 25), however, Konami has not mentioned the time of release. According to a report by HITC, the developer has not specified whether the eFootball 2023 Mobile update will arrive on the same day or if players have to wait longer.

The report also suggests that eFootball 2023 for mobile will be a downloadable patch, just like the way it was with previous titles. This means players have to simply install the latest update to gain access.
eFootball 2023: The new changes
The report mentions that Konami has not shared details about all the features and gameplay changes. However, the developer has mentioned the new licenses and up-to-date player information for the current season that will be part of the eFootball 2023 update. These are the feature confirmed by Konami for the next PES launch:
New licenses
As per the report, multiple new licenses are being added to eFootball 2023. The report mentions that two major clubs from Italy — AC Milan and Inter Milan — will be added to the game. Moreover, the Mexican soccer team Club América from Liga BBVA MX will also be included in the upcoming game. Apart from the original jerseys, players from both AC Milan and Inter Milan will be seen sporting the eFootball original training kit in-game.
New player types
eFootball 2023 will also add two new player types to the game which are — Highlight and Epic players — where ‘Highlight’ players will hand-picked stars who have shown outstanding performances in the “current season” and have a higher progression ceiling than the Featured players, the report notes.

On the other hand, the players under the ‘Epic’ category will celebrate the “defining season” of big names from past and present with a better progression ceiling than Legendary players.

The report also suggests that the game’s new partner clubs will offer all the 11 player cards with exclusive designs that will be available as Club Packs.
